We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Associate to work in our Specialized Architectural Products branch in Tampa, FL.

Summary        

Warehouse Associates help ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Manager. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have basic computer skills, experience working in a warehouse and pulling inventory for shipments. Attention to detail will be necessary. Will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

Essential Functions

 

  • Maintain shipping and receiving areas
  • Process paperwork accordingly
  • Check in packaging materials to ship to job locations
  • Repackage and tag materials to ship to jobsites.
  • Maintain job inventory
  • Process UPS shipments daily.
  • Keep warehouse clean and safe

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Ability to lift materials in boxes
  • Knowledge of commercial doors, frames and hardware helpful  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Good communication skills Proper use of company issued devices
  • Ability to do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work closely & cordially with other staff associates
  • Ability to make pallets and crates as needed for shipping helpful

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand and walk for much of the day. Ability to lift 5-50 pounds frequently and ability to lift up to 150 pounds occasionally. Must be able to

Work Environment

Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.
