We are currently recruiting for a Sales Representative who will work in our Cook & Boardman branch in Nashville, TN.

Summary

As a Sales Representative with Cook & Boardman you will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned market through positive reinforcement.  Provides leadership towards the achivement of maximum profitability and growth within the local market.  Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area.

Essential Functions

  • Meets or exceeds all activity standards for monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Communicates with assigned customers on a regular basis to check progress of current jobs and get leads for new work that may be coming up
  • Cultivates new customer relationships
  • Identifies and solves problems, either customer related matters or Cook & Boardman internal issues thay may involve their work
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with the commercial door & hardware industry required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem solving skills
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales
  • Ability to work closely with other managers to build concensus in our approach to the training and growth of the sales team
  • Must pass pre-employemnt drug screen and background check

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong customer relation skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Working knowledge of commercial doors, frames and hardware
  • Strong understanding of our customer base and market dynamics

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May occasionally require driving to project sites.
