We are currently recruiting for a Part Time Project Assistant to work in our Pinnacle Door & Hardware branch in Clearwater, FL.

C&B's operating units include Cook & Boardman, LLC; Precision Doors & Hardware, LLC; Architectural Building Supply, LLC; Martin Architectural Products; Hollow Metal Specialists; Hardware Consultants; Precision Millwork; Delta Door and Hardware; Pinnacle Door & Hardware; Specialized AP; Door Pro Systems; Contract Hardware of Florida and RDL Supply. Today, C&B operates from 35 locations across the United States.

Summary

The Project Assistant works closely with the Project Manager to comply with project schedules and provides essential information to customers while protecting our internal financial requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the project manager in ordering materials in a timely manner in order to meet the construction schedule
  • Communicate effectively with customers verbally and in writing
  • Follow-up correspondence in writing (email primarily)
  • Responsive to returning phone calls in a timely manner
  • Communicate with factories and suppliers
  • Communicate with installation subcontractors
  • Create and track outstanding submittal packages
  • Prepare direct entry sales orders
  • Coordinate project submittal process-product data sheets, samples, schedules, etc.
  • Provide close-out documents as required
  • Occasional local travel. A valid driver's license and appropriate transportation required
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Products, including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Functional and working knowledge of computers
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and in writing
  • Knowledge of commercial frame, door and hardware products preferred
  • Self-motivated and proactive with ability to multi-task
  • Blue print reading and specification interpretation preferred
  • Detail oriented
  • Good mathematical skills

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
