We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join our Door Pro Systems team in Houston, TX.

This position is responsible for bending, cutting specific sheet metal material for the assembly of hollow metal frames with the use of press brake, shears, punch press and/or spot weld machines. Accuracy and fabrication are very important as most of the work involves modifications including such items as preparing for lock sets, hinges, glass kits, access control devices and other such products.

Essential Functions

  • Assembly/Fabrication of hollow metal frame parts by operation of press brake, shears, punch press and/or spot weld machines.
  • Start and stop equipment
  • Load and unload materials from machines, carts, and dollies
  • Feed or place items into equipment for processing.
  • Ensure conformance to specifications
  • Recognize and report quality issues to your supervisor
  • Frequent work saw cutting, grinding and sanding related materials
  • Must maintain a high level of accuracy, efficiency and safety while ensuring quality standards by way of in-process inspections.

Physical Demands

Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching. Spends approximately 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing. Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work Environment

Conditions will include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.
