The Project Support Associate works closely with Project Managers to comply with project schedules and provides essential information to customers while protecting our internal financial requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the project management team in coordination and communication in a timely  manner to meet the construction schedule
  • Communicate effectively with customers verbally and in writing
  • Follow-up correspondence in writing (email primarily)
  • Responsive to returning phone calls in a timely manner
  • Communicate with factories and suppliers
  • Create and track outstanding submittal packages
  • Prepare direct entry sales orders
  • Coordinate project submittal process-product data sheets, samples, schedules, etc.
  • Provide close-out documents as required
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Products, including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Functional and working knowledge of computers
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and in writing
  • Knowledge of commercial frame, door and hardware products preferred
  • Self-motivated and proactive with ability to multi-task
  • Blue print reading and specification interpretation preferred
  • Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology or equivalent experience a plus

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
