We are currently recruiting for a Detailer who will work in our Precision Doors & Hardware unit in Baltimore, Maryland.

Summary

Seeking an Detailer to provide a complete submittal package for Division 8 and/or Division 10 products to the General Contractor based upon contract documents.

Essential Functions

  • Receives latest dated construction plans and specifications; checks for completeness and comparison to estimate
  • Coordinates with Project Manager for vendor selection
  • Prepares complete Frame, Door and Hardware submittals to include shop drawings, elevation sheets, preambles, keying schedules, hardware schedules with all manufacturers catalog information
  • Requests any updated or missing vendor quotes
  • Determines and requests any samples required for the project
  • Prepares and submits any LEED Documentation
  • Confirms project contract pricing and 'sells' the project in Comsense
  • Finalizes detailing steps in Comsense; i.e. builds headings, inputs handing, locations etc.
  • Notates any contract discrepancies or local code conflict issues for the Architect
  • Turns submittal and project files over to Project Manager for their submission to General Contactor
  • Upon return of submittals, update for re-submission if required, or prepare for ordering by Project Manager unless otherwise directed by Branch Manager
  • Prepares Wood Door machine sheets for Project Manager if required
  • Other duties as required by Branch Manager

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Detailing or Projecet Management experience required, AHC credentials preferred but not necessary

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong technical skills with a broad background in the complete project cycle and in-depth knowledge of Division 8 and Division 10 products
  • Good organizational skills and time management skills required
  • Attention to details are critical
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work directly with in-hours staff

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May require driving to work sites or customer locations.
