We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join our Door and Hardware Division at our Exactitude office in Cumberland, Maine.

Established in 1955 The Cook & Boardman Group, LLC is a privately owned engineering services and specialty distributor-subcontractor. C&B is the premier provider of architectural hardware, doors, doorframes, and related building specialties for non-residential building applications throughout the US.  C&B's operating units include Cook & Boardman, LLC; Precision Doors & Hardware, LLC; Architectural Building Supply, LLC; Martin Architectural Products; Hollow Metal Specialists; Hardware Consultants; Precision Millwork; Exactitude; Delta Door and Hardware; Pinnacle Door & Hardware and RDL Supply. Today, we operated from 23 locations and serve customers across the United States.                             


We are looking for a Project Manager to provide total opening door and hardware estimating, detailing, ordering, and project management. The ideal candidate will be a team player, self-motivated and able to multi-task.

Job Duties

Provide detailed door and hardware schedules and coordinate opening requirements as set forth within the contract documents (plans, specifications, and addenda) and other related information concerning an individual project.  Correspond and follow up with customers by sending final door, hardware or other schedules for approval.  Assure a prompt return and communicate changes and progress of schedule.  Proactively anticipate customer needs and actively and periodically solicit feedback on Cook and Boardman performance.  Keep project files orderly and current.  Manage any project changes, revisions, revised purchase orders and change order documents and make revisions in Comsense.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum education - High School diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • Knowledge and experience with doors, frames and hardware industry
  • Knowledge of Comsense 
  • Detail-oriented
  • Customer service and problem solving skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Able to multi-task, possesses a sense of urgency
  • Microsoft Office and Comsense Advantage/Enterprise experience
  • Familiarity with drawings and specifications
  • Solid project management and effective time management skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and writing
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable and proactive
  • Winning attitude
  • Professional and polished in both appearance and speech
