We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Associate to work out of our Precision Doors & Hardware office in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Summary:

Warehouse Associates helps ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Operation Manager. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have basic computer skills, experience working in a warehouse and pulling inventory for shipments. Attention to detail will be necessary. Will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery
  • Recording selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Working in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations
  • Load finished product onto truck
  • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager regarding the warehouse or deliveries
  • Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum education – High School diploma or GED
  • 6 months to one year or more of related experience
  • General knowledge of power tools
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Forklift certification or experience
  • Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates and customers

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand and walk for much of the day. Ability to lift 5-50 pounds frequently and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

May be exposed to variable weather conditions. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.
