We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Associate to work out of our Martin Architectural Products office in Cary, North Carolina.

Summary:

Time will be spent working in the warehouse and pulling/fulfilling customer orders and general warehouse work. Warehouse associates help ensure the safe working conditions of the warehouse as well as keep the work environment running smoothly.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery
  • Recording selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Working in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations
  • Load finished product onto truck
  • Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager regarding the warehouse or deliveries
  • Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum education – High School/GED or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Forklift certification is a plus
  • Being in sound physical shape and able to complete all assigned work efficiently
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Organized and timely with schedules
  • Experience working with

Physical Demands

Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching. Spends approximately 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing. Frequent lifting required of items 50+ pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work Environment

May be exposed to variable weather conditions. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.
