We are currently recruiting for an Office Administrator  to work in our Cook and Boardman corporate office in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Established in 1955, The Cook & Boardman Group, LLC ("C&B") is a privately-owned technical services business and specialty distributor. C&B is the nation's leading distributor of architectural hardware, doors, doorframes, and related building products for non-residential building applications throughout the United States.  C&B's operating units include Cook & Boardman, LLC; Precision Doors & Hardware, LLC; Architectural Building Supply, LLC; Martin Architectural Products; Hollow Metal Specialists; Hardware Consultants; Precision Millwork; Exactitude; Delta Door and Hardware and RDL Supply. Today, C&B operates from 22 locations across ten states and serves customers throughout the United States.

Summary

This position serves as the Corporate Administrative Assistant and will report to the CEO and CFO.  The position will also support the Directors of Human Resources, Information Technology, Accounting & Finance and Safety and Risk Management. There will be set reoccurring responsibilities from each department and the position will also assist with assigned projects on an as needed basis.

Specific Job Duties Listed Below:

  • Manage, update and appropriately communicate departmental documents
  • Handle departmental projects as assigned
  • Assist with the Executive Management and other Manager's calendars including but not limited to the scheduling of meetings and conference calls with internal staff, executives, and outside organizations
  • Coordinating travel arrangements as needed for Executive team
  • Prepare and handle confidential and personnel information
  • Organize, maintain and procure office supplies
  • Screen phone inquiries in a professional, courteous and helpful manner and delegate to appropriate contact
  • Greet visitors to the organization in a professional, welcoming and helpful manner
  • Assist with all other duties as required by the CEO, CFO and other Managers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree Required, Bachelor's preferred
  • 3+ Years Administrative experience supporting senior level management
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to independently create/update PowerPoint presentations.
  • Must be familiar with business technology including but not limited to Microsoft Office

  • Proven track record of supporting multiple managers as well as managing multiple and competing priorities
  • Results oriented, desire to improve existing processes and expand areas of responsibility
  • Organized, detail oriented and proactively seeks solutions to issues without frequent need for assistance
  • Self-starter, independent thinker, desires challenging new projects where problem solving and analytical skills are used
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities of a changing workload
  • Must have strong interpersonal, time management, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to develop a work schedule, set goals, create/implement actions plans and monitor progress towards goals
  • Must display professional maturity, have a strong command of English grammar, possess a well-developed vocabulary, and the ability to support and relate effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to change focus of work seamlessly without loss of efficiency, and adapt to unexpected requests
