We are currently recruiting for an Office Manager to work out of our Cook & Boardman Office in Charleston, South Carolina

Established in 1955 The Cook & Boardman Group, LLC is a privately owned engineering services and specialty distributor-subcontractor. C&B is the premier provider of architectural hardware, doors, doorframes, and related building specialties for non-residential building applications throughout the US.  C&B's operating units include Cook & Boardman, LLC; Precision Doors & Hardware, LLC; Architectural Building Supply, LLC; Martin Architectural Products; Hollow Metal Specialists; Hardware Consultants; Precision Millwork; Delta Door and Hardware and RDL Supply. Today, we operate from 22 locations and serve customers across the United States.


Manages and supervises the office support staff providing overall responsibility for the accounting functions and contract administration assuring timely and accurate reporting to corporate finance.  

Job Duties

  • Oversee/ Assist with Office Staff
  • Answering Telephone Calls
  • Works to ensure that billing, collection, and payable functions are covered. Tracking and involvement with collections, agencies, legal filings
  • Month end closing process
  • Fixed assets management including computer registration, vehicle registration, equipment purchases, accounting for capital projects etc.
  • Oversee tracking and reporting of stored material
  • Compiling forecasts, reporting sales
  • Preparation of pay applications for contracts as required
  • Daily invoicing of shipments
  • Works to keep Comsense reports clean and accurate
  • Serve as HR Liaison to Corporate Office
  • Any additional duties as required

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excel experience and skills required
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Strong PC and systems skills required, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of general accouting and financial processes 
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
